Nehemiah

(nee-uh-MY-uh)

The Nehemiah team believes everyone deserves a second chance. We listen to and support our residents, as they have usually come from incredibly difficult situations. We then enable them to move on from that place of desperation via our effective programmes – which not only thoroughly deal with their addictions but with the root causes of their problems. Our success rates speak for themselves:

  • 72% of our residential rehab graduates are clean from drugs/alcohol today
  • 94% of our graduates that were offenders have not reoffended and have stayed out of prison
    (January 2001 to July 2008)

Societal problems of crime, drug abuse and prison overcrowding are not going to be solved overnight. But we believe that tackling these issues head on is a good start…

Move-on

The Government has identified the community's role in dealing with social exclusion. Nehemiah is a shining example of it working in practice.
