Thursday 30th April
Three of our residents graduated last week from our fist stage programme, A New Future. We were encouraged to see many people come and support them, including family members, supporters, volunteers, charitable trusts and probation workers. We would also like to thank Kevin McGrath, the High Sheriff of London, for awarding the men their certificates and sharing an encouraging word.
Each man stood up and shared about their experiences over the last few months. We even had a song played on the guitar by one talented individual. There residents are all now a part of our move-on stage. Here is what one of the graduates, Gareth, had to say: “I had a choice. I chose to come to Nehemiah because I needed structure in my life. You have kept to your word. You have given me the framework that I needed to start rebuilding my life.”
We were also thrilled to have one young man come and share his testimony. Mick graduated from 'A New Future' in December last year, and has recently moved on to look after his mum. We wish him all the best.
