Our Joining Criteria
We welcome referrals from men anywhere in the UK who are ready to engage with an abstinence based residential programme and who want to make positive changes in their lives.
We can help if you answer yes to the following:
You are a man aged 18 or over
You have problems with substance misuse or addiction
You are eligible to claim Housing Benefit
You are willing to remain abstinent from drugs and alcohol
You are being referred from the community or in preparation for release from prison
We are unable to accept referrals where there is:
A history of sexual offences
A history of arson
No entitlement to Housing Benefit
Severe mental health difficulties such as active psychosis
A recent history of serious violence
These criteria are in place to protect the safety and wellbeing of residents, staff and the wider community. If you are unsure about any aspect of eligibility, our team is happy to discuss individual circumstances.
If you would like to join Nehemiah, the first step is to complete an application form. You can find out how below.
Together, we can rebuild lives beyond addiction.
