Dan George

Dan joined Nehemiah in Jan 2025, having previously worked in the prison system helping offenders with addiction since 2022. Before that he spent the COVID-19 years helping young adults with disabilities achieve independent living. He is passionate about making a difference and seeing others flourish. Dan is currently studying psychology BSc at The Open University, finding every opportunity to bring his knowledge into his work.

Colin Donworth

Colin joined the Nehemiah Project in September 2025 having heard lots of good things whilst working in local drug and alcohol services. Colin has a BA Hons degree in philosophy and politics and was briefly a primary school teacher before starting his first job in the field in 2017. Colin has worked as a Recovery and Senior Recovery Practitioner in London and Berkshire as well as a Team Leader in residential services and in the community. He has had an interest in addiction and recovery for many years and is passionate about empowering and supporting others to achieve their recovery goals.

Chloe Brown

Chloe joined The Nehemiah Project in February 2025 as an Assistant Recovery Practitioner. With a strong academic background, Chloe spent four years studying Psychology, with a focus on addiction and mental health. Her research has centred on addiction, mental health, and neurodiversity, equipping her with a well-rounded, holistic understanding of these critical topics. Chloe also brings valuable experience from her work supporting vulnerable adults, particularly through her role at a college where she assisted young adults with complex mental health needs. Passionate about empowering individuals in their recovery journey, Chloe is committed to making a meaningful, positive impact in the lives of those she supports.

Charlotte Bleackley

Charlotte joined Nehemiah in June 2025, bringing with her four years of experience as a Recovery Programmes Facilitator and Team Leader within the criminal justice system. Prior to this, she worked with vulnerable adults with disabilities in the community while studying Psychology. In her current role, Charlotte supports Stage 2 residents as they take the next steps in their recovery journey. Driven by a holistic understanding of individuals she draws on both her academic background and practical experience to empower the men she works with to lead fulfilling, purposeful lives.
