Celebrating 30 Years: Our Anniversary Photography Exhibition

Yesterday, we marked Nehemiah's 30th birthday with an exhibition of photography by Jack Lawson, generously hosted by our friends at Gleeds.

Guests toured the exhibition before hearing directly from current and former residents and their families, who spoke openly about how Nehemiah has changed the course of their lives. Their words were a powerful reminder of what thirty years of this work has really meant for the men we support, helping them to rebuild their lives and give back to their communities

The evening brought together the full breadth of the Nehemiah community: residents, former residents, supporters, staff and trustees, alongside the Gleeds team, who have stood with us for over a decade of our 30-year story. It was a rare chance to have so many voices from across our history in one room together, celebrating how far we've come.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Gleeds UK for opening your doors and supporting our mission for so many years.

The exhibition is going on tour

We're taking Jack Lawson's photography beyond this one evening. If you have a church, community space, or corporate venue that could host the exhibition, we'd love to hear from you , it's a brilliant way to bring your congregation, community, or colleagues closer to the stories behind our work. Get involved

Thirty years in, our work continues because people continue to show up for it. Whether that's through a donation, volunteering your time, or simply spreading the word, there are lots of ways to be part of the next chapter.

  • Host the exhibition — get in touch to bring it to your space

  • Donate — help us support more residents into stable, secure homes

  • Volunteer — bring your unique skills and join us at one of our houses
